How to choose a Disney hotel?
Would you like to spend one or more nights at a Disneyland Paris hotel? Then you'll have to choose between the 7 themed hotels in the Marne-la-Vallée group. To help you, here's a quick guide to the hotels best suited to your needs:
For people with limited budgets
Are you the Scrooge type who doesn't like to spend most of your budget on accommodation? We understand. Opt for the Disney budget hotels if you'd rather spend your money on shopping or dining out than on a room you'll only be in for a few hours.
In this case, you have two options: you can book your nights at budget hotels such as the Hotel Cheyenne and the Santa Fé, or you can postpone your holiday to a time when you can get better rates (outside the school holidays, at weekends, etc.).
Our verdict: Hotel Cheyenne is undoubtedly the Disneyland Paris hotel with the best value for money. It's closer to the parks than the Davy Crockett (admittedly cheaper), and all visitors love its western theme and setting. For those on a budget, a night at the Disney Hotel Cheyenne starts from under €200 per person per night.
For those who love luxury
Are you one of those people who says: "When you love Disneyland Paris and its magic, you don't count!
For a bespoke dose of magic and wonder, Disney-style, discover the Club Rooms and Suites available at Disney's top category hotels.
- Golden Forest rooms & suites at Disney Sequoi Lodge
- Compass Club rooms & suites at the Disney Newport Bay Club
- Empire State Club rooms & suites at Disney New York The Art of Marvel
- Castle Club rooms & suites at Disneyland Hotel
Our verdict: The Marvel Hotel and its Empire State Club offer the most VIP and exclusive deal whether you're looking for a romantic weekend, honeymoon or a magical family getaway.
Guide
Why should you choose to stay at a Disney Hotel?
To get as close as possible to the parks
After exploring Disneyland Park and the Walt Disney Studios, there's nothing better than returning to your hotel room for a well-deserved rest.
In this respect, the Disneyland Paris hotels are the best located: they are the closest to the parks and Disney Village, not to mention Marne-la-Vallée Chessy station.
For families with young children, this is a very important criterion. Hotel New York 'The Art of Marvel', for example, is just a 5-minute walk from the park entrance and a few metres from Disney Village and its many restaurants and shops.
There's no need to catch a shuttle bus or take the car: You can leave the park at closing time and easily catch Disney D-Light or Disney Illuminations, as well as all the night shows.
To enjoy Character Encounters in your hotel
Except for Davy Crockett Ranch, all Euro Disney managed hotels benefit from 'meet and greet' points and/or times to meet the characters you find in the parks.
Each hotel has its own exclusive characters: pose with Woody and Jessie at Cheyenne, take a selfie with Mickey or Minnie in their sailor suits or meet a princess at the Disneyland Hotel corridor bend.
These meeting places have the enormous advantage of being less crowded than those in the park, where you can wait up to an hour.
The Disney Hotel New-York the Art of Marvel even has an entire area dedicated to special effects photos and meeting characters from the films: the Marvel Hero Photos Stadiums, an experience reserved exclusively for hotel guests.
For the variety and quality of accommodation
From a bungalow in the middle of nowhere to a New York-style presidential suite, the choice of rooms is extremely wide and varied. There's something to suit every taste and budget at Disneyland Paris.
The Disney properties offer a wide range of accommodation, particularly suitable for families. Rooms with 2 double beds or bunk beds are very popular with children.
Children will be delighted to discover that some hotels have a room dedicated to games, such as the 'Little Prairie Kids Corner' at the Sequoïa or the Marvel Design Studio at the Hotel New York, which introduces the youngest guests to comic strips.
Disney offers a premium selection of superior rooms and exclusive family suites for those seeking a VIP experience. These suites are available at Disneyland Hotel (Castle Club and Cinderella Suite), New York Hotel (Empire State), Newport (Compass Club) and Sequoias (Golden Forest Club).
Breathe, sleep and eat Disney
Staying at a Disney hotel is all about extending the magic into the evening. Whether it's in your room, at the bar or in one of the themed restaurants.
Where else can you eat an Avenger pancake but at breakfast in the Downtown Restaurant? Have you ever drooled over one of the alcoholic or non-alcoholic cocktails served at the Manhattan Bar?
It also means unforgettable memories of children discovering their room for the first time, and all the little details that set Disney Hotels apart.
It's also all the unique facilities and benefits you can enjoy: swimming pool and spa areas, excursions to visit the capital and the Paris region.
